Dr. Briana Franklin
OB/GYN & NaPro Surgeon
Education, Training, and Certifications
Medical School: Medical College of Wisconsin
Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology: Saint Louis University
Fellowship in Medical and Surgical NaProTechnology: Saint Paul VI Institute
Personal Profile
Dr. Franklin is an OB/GYN with a practice focus in restorative reproductive medicine, a medical discipline that focuses on identifying and treating the root cause of gynecologic problems through medications, hormones, supplements, and surgery. She is a trained fellow in NaProTECHNOLOGY, a medical science developed at the Saint Paul VI Institute in Omaha, Nebraska.
She applies evidence based medicine and tailors her care to each woman’s individual story. Her special interests include endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, recurrent miscarriage, infertility, and abnormal bleeding. Her meticulous surgical approach restores pelvic anatomy as much as possible while minimizing scar tissue formation. She has a wide experience in minimally invasive techniques, including laser excision of endometriosis. Her goal is to optimize and restore a woman’s reproductive system to help her achieve her life and family goals.
When she’s not in the operating room she loves catching babies. Whether it be minimal intervention with birthing in hands-and-knees or safe high-risk cesarean section, she enjoys balancing her patient’s goals with safety for mother and baby. When things don’t go as planned, she is there for her patients to help them process their experience. She aims to reduce cesarean section rates by offering her patients VBACs, forceps/vacuum deliveries, and more.
When not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and son and attending a local Eastern Orthodox Church.
Her hobbies include indoor gardening, knitting, biking, hiking, dancing, and sailing.
